Culture Business Parc Exhibition featuring the works of Daniel Petkovic

Daniel Petkovic's artworks will be on display in the foyer of the Business Parc until end of May.

The Business Parc offers a platform for creative artists as part of its ‘Culture Business Parc’ initiative. The works of Daniel Petkovic mark the twentieth art exhibition to be held at the Business Parc.

About the project
Daniel Petkovic does not work on art – it arises from a state of permanent perception. His works are not the result of concepts, but of inner pressure. His practice is intuitive and impulsive. Colour is a state, not a means. Lines delimit, surfaces collide, black interventions create resistance. Repetition is avoided, stability deliberately disrupted. Petkovic describes this tension as formal limitism: reduction as compulsion, expression as liberation. The human being, especially the face, appears not as a portrait, but as a mask – as a surface that carries and conceals. A projection space for the unspoken. The works refuse explanation and narrative. They reveal nothing, they demand something. They are not answers, but states of tension. Those who remain do not stand in front of them – they get caught up in them.

About the artist
Daniel Petkovic, born in Solothurn in 1971, is unassuming in appearance and precise in his vision. He collects tensions from everyday life, nature and interpersonal moments. Influenced by migration, craftsmanship and the rugged landscape of Dalmatia, he developed an early sense of structure, rhythm and resistance. His training as a locksmith sharpened his relationship with material and form; artistic training served to clarify, not to conform.
